Welcome
to the site of Peck Simmentals, Montana
breeders of black simmental
cattle. We
have been raising black simmental cattle since 1987. We
started raising livestock with a single grade cow in
1980. We purchased our first purebred simmental in 1984 from
Harry Ferguson ( one of the pioneers of the simmental breed in
Montana).
Peck
Simmentals is a small operation, owned and
operated by William and Marianne Peck. We are located in the
beautiful Jefferson valley near Whitehall, Montana. Whitehall
is located 25 miles east of Butte and 60 miles West of
Bozeman.
Although we are a small operation, we continue to produce quality
cattle through our selective AI program. We now have
generations of black polled simmental cattle out of such trait
leaders as Black Irish Kansas, Black Mick, Circle S
Leachman 600U, Franchise, GW Lucky Break, Legacy,
Gambler,Daume Legend, and Dream On. This year we have added
Triple C Invasion and TNT Jump Start to this impressive list of excellent Simmental Bulls.
We continue to breed for small birth weights, fast growth, and
carcass traits, that will make our cattle a great addition to
anyone's breeding program. We would like to express a special "THANK YOU"
at this time to Don and Nancy Burnham of Prickly Pear Simmental
Ranch, Bill Begger of Beggers Diamond V Ranch, and the late Otto
Simon, for sharing their knowledge and expertise with us. Their
guidance has led us down the right road, and helped us to build our
excellent herd of simmentals. We would also like to extend a Special Thank you to
Frank and Marilyn Carr for letting us market our yearling bulls
with them in their annual LITTLE BITTERROOT RANCH PRODUCTION

Past ProductionsA couple of our past productions include: PS/PPSR SUMO who is a carcass trait leader. He won 4th at the Denver Stock Show and was Grand Champion in his class and Reserve Grand Champion of the show at the Montana Winter Fair. PS Irish Mick was Grand Champion
in her class and Reserve Grand Champion of the show at the Northern
International Livestock Exposition (N.I.L.E.) |

2009 SaleThis years simmental bull calves will be sold at auction in the annual Little Bitterroot Ranch production sale to be held in Missoula, Montana on February 1, 2009. If you are interested in a catalog, just e-mail us and we will be happy to send you one as soon as they are available. Hope to see you there. The remaining simmental heifers and cows that we are offering up for sale will be sold private treaty here at the ranch. |
